Ok. You don't have to be "politically correct", but can you be grammatically correct?
And no one equates homosexuality with race. The comparison is the fight for equal rights, which, though not complete, is certainly applicable. My problem with that is that gays only talk about civil rights when it applies to them.
When they won their decision in the SCOTUS and we lost the teeth of the VRA, their smokes people didn't come out say "Yes. We won, but the VRA was gutted and we have far to go in America. It wasn't mentioned by anyone commenting on the victory of gay people to marry and have their rights respected.
But all this I approve of this and not that, that's nonsense. You can't talk about people like they're some sort of deviant and then say, but I'm OK with those people. That's some solipsistic self-deception.
Broussard's a hater and that's not consistent with Christ.

Re: Free Download: Godchild “Ride For God”

Can you bring back this download? Learning to extend grace to the individual that wronged you is extremely difficult. When you add the element of marriage to the mix, it can feel like you have reached the point of no return. I too commend Tina and Teddy for walking this experience out for the world to see. I pray that God will give them the grace to renew their commitment to each other and that their testimony will be an example to other married couples that there is life after infidelity. The most important lesson that any of us can learn is forgiveness. The TRUE God-like type of forgiveness that extends grace and mercy to the offender. When we as servants of God decide that we are going to live a life that is pleasing unto Him, we HAVE to forgive. Not an easy task by a long shot, but totally DO-ABLE. When we remember that Christ died and FORGAVE ALL of OUR OFFENSES and no longer holds us accountable for them, then we must do the same for those that offend and hurt us. In marriage, we have to remember that God ordained the family and Marriage and that is why the enemy comes to attack that bond. He goes about as a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. We must hold fast to God's word and do things to strengthen the bond. We have to watch as well as pray. We have to pray together and for each other, go on dates, communicate with each other and stay committed to the reason we said "I do" in the first place. Sometimes things will happen, after all, we are only human...but if we are quick to act and resolve conflicts when they arise, say I'm sorry when we are wrong, and fight for our relationships, we will be victorious in the end. Great commentary Sistah, keep up the good work! <3

Re: [read.] When Your Man of God Steps Outside the Marriage

Wow! I also made attempts to ask forgiveness of the other women and children. One woman accepted the other didnot. One child accepted and the other did not.
It has been some time now since my ill choices, and my wife and I are now in our 14th year of her forgiving me and starting anew. To say it was or is easy would be a bold faced lie, but she was and is a woman who values those timeless vows of marriage and I am so thankful to have a woman like her. Once we decided that it was God's way or no way His loved healed us and continues to do so.
The sting of infidelity, a friend or family member who has wronged us is horrendous, but when we honesty live the Word of God, loving as He loves and forgiving as He does we will be alright whether the marriage or any other relationship is severed forever. Do all that you can do to be peaceable with all men.
Love
R.A.G.

Re: [read.] When Your Man of God Steps Outside the Marriage

Ooooo........what a touchy subject. I would have to holla, "JESUS TAKE THE WHEEL!" I am very happy for Tina and her husband. All I can say is that I HOPE and PRAY that I can be that forgiving should I ever be in that position, God forbid. Its easy to say what you WOULD do, but until you're actually in that position is the only time you can actually say, "I...... When you married that person it is for better or for worse. You agreed to get married because you love that person with your soul. When you have that deep soulfelt love and passion for someone, it is hard to just turn the love off.

Re: [free music.] Lookin Christians Remix by Humble Tip

Sooo I would ask as a gospel artist/minister why are listening to secular music. So how are you doing that jacking their music and obviously listening to the song enough times to create a "Christian" remix?

Re: Rap Fest Radio: Episode #167 – Lady JTO and Infinite Automatik

Good looks Trig

Re: Rap Fest Radio: Episode #167 – Lady JTO and Infinite Automatik

Thanks, we fixed it family. I think God gives us all gifts and graces. I'm not sure it's about who rejects you rather what has He assigned you to do. Immaturity is shared by us all in some ways but if we are faithful to our assignment then God gives us grace to grow. I wasn't offended by his statement but those who feel like it slighted them or the genre may. Let's all stay faithful and know that we all seek to "fit in" to some group of peers.

Re: [news.] Andy Mineo Apologizes For His Comments On Christian Rap

#Truth. Simply put. They didn't have and a lot of times still don't have the best producers, singers, skill, etc. but God has blessed Christian rappers. Another reason Christian rap has not been better is it's not embraced by their primary audience until somewhat recently. It has been viewed as a youth ministry tool and not really a part of what churches promote. Yet another issue was that a large part of Christians that listen to rap were wrapped into their secular artist and saw Christian artist as copy cats. Another reason was a lot of Christian rappers felt like if their message was good then their music was good, not true. My pastor is an excellent teacher but not a rapper. All in all I like the fact that Christian rappers have attracted people with skill and my prayer is always that they are obedient to draw people to Christ by presenting truth. I look at it as an olive branch to the unbeliever. Let the way you speak have people say, what's up with this person and what are they about. Some will be strong in their presentation of the Gospel some will be strong in their pointing to erroneous thoughts in society but if we allow each to do their assignment the body can be strengthened.
I hope the honest feedback from a listener of the music since 84' is worth something. Rap/hip hop is a venue that has always been about skillful presentation of your outlook on life. Christians have a viewpoint that other should hear. The music is not just for those who share the view but for those who need to hear something else. That's my thoughts. Sorry so long.
